Learning Spanish

Trying to pick up some Spanish before you come to Panama is a great idea. We aren't exactly experts at learning the language. Based on our research, this might be a good place to start:

1. Watch Spanish-language Netflix, TV, movies, YouTube, etc with English subtitles on. This will at least get you used to hearing the language and help you pick up some words here and there.

2.  Use DuoLingo. 

3. Check out the free Spanish With Paul videos on YouTube. He also offers an affordable course. 

4. Sign up for Pimsleur using this link. It is a language learning audio course that costs $14.95 per month but you get the first week free with that link. It focuses on speaking and listening and less on reading, writing, and grammar.

5. Be consistent.  Use any of these suggestions every day for 30 minutes a day.
