Understanding the Non-Compete Clause in Our Tour Release Form

We’re excited to have you join us on a Panama Relocation Tour! As part of the registration process, we ask each guest to sign our Tour Release Form, which includes a non-compete agreement.

This article explains what the non-compete clause means—and why it’s important for protecting the integrity and uniqueness of our tours.

What does the non-compete clause say?

By signing the release form, you agree not to use or share information, materials, or experiences gained from the tour in any way that competes with our business—either directly or indirectly—for a period of five years (60 months) following the end of your tour.

This applies whether you're:

  • Creating a relocation tour company
  • Working with or assisting someone else who is
  • Publishing information learned on the tour—even for free—in ways that compete with us

Examples of activities that would violate the non-compete clause include:

  • Publishing a YouTube video, blog, or podcast where you share relocation tips or advice based on what you learned from our tour
  • Writing and publishing a book or course on relocating to Panama using insights or contacts gained from the tour
  • Posting the relocation information learned from us in 3rd party online groups or forums - even if you are giving the information away for free.
  • Selling or giving away our tour materials, insights, strategies, or connections—either online or offline

In short: If you’re using what you learned from us to create content, provide guidance, or build a business that overlaps with what we do, that’s considered competition.

Why is this clause important?

We’ve invested years into building a trusted reputation, creating proprietary materials, and cultivating relationships that make our tours valuable and unique. The non-compete clause protects our intellectual property and ensures that the experience we offer remains exclusive to those who join us through the proper channels.

What isn’t a problem?

You are absolutely welcome to:

✅ Share your personal experience with friends and family

✅ Post photos from your trip or talk about the fun you had on the tour

The line is crossed when the information you gained from the tour is used to educate or guide others in a public or structured way, especially when it relates to relocation.
